Hello Deer Park Families!
For those of you who do not know me, I am Tana Anderson, and I am the Deer Park School Lunch Coordinator. I serve the students lunch, operate the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable program, and also help out in the office. Columbia Falls has a central kitchen and they provide us with all of our lunches. Because we get all of our food from them we need to place our orders 2 weeks in advance. You can order lunches on our web page at www.deerpark.k12.mt.us. Our first day of lunch this year will be Friday September 6th. Be sure and download our app to your cell phone so you can get all of the up to date news.
You will find our free and reduced application on our web page. If you are interested, please fill one out and return it to the office for verification. If you are unable to print a copy please see me and I can get a copy for you. The price for lunch will be $3.25, the reduced price is $.40. Payment can be brought to the office, or sent to school with your student. I do billing once a month, if you would like to pre-pay I will keep track of balances and send home status of your account once a month. Per policy, all lunch accounts must be paid within 30 days, if you cannot pay for your lunches please come and see me and we can work something out. If your student has ordered a lunch and ends up not being here that day, there will be no charge for that lunch. Please try to look ahead on the calendar and if there are days you know your student will be out of school try not to order lunch on that day.
For the first month of school we will be using last year’s free and reduced information, so if you qualified last year I will use that information until I receive new updated info. Any lunches after October 1, 2024 will go to full price unless otherwise determined. If you’re not sure what your status was last year, let me know.
