Attention families--due to lack of staffing we are in danger of having to close the doors of our AFTERNOON Crash Zone program. We WILL have Crash Zone this week, and I will keep you posted about next week. Our morning Crash Zone is still up and running and will continue throughout the school year. If you or anyone you know might be interested in working in Crash Zone, part-time or job sharing is also an option.

Hello Deer Park Families! I am looking forward to another awesome year. Our lunch menu is looking good for the year. We will have a 6 week rotating menu. Lunches will not be free this year unless you fill out an application and qualify. The price for lunches this year will be $3.60 and if you would like milk only that will be $0.50. Please come and see me if you have any questions. If you qualified for free or reduced priced meals last year that will follow through for 30 days to give you time to fill out new paperwork. The first day of hot lunch will be on September 6, so be sure to send a lunch to school with your kids for the first 3 days. We will be ordering on line again so keep an eye out for the first order to be coming out. I will have it open for orders starting Monday August 29, although our first day of school is Wednesday August 31. I look forward to seeing you all. Tana

2022 Summer Out-of-School Time Child Care Scholarship Application The Department of Public Health and Human Services' Early Childhood and Family Support Division (ECFSD) is providing scholarships to working families of elementary-age children entering Kindergarten through 5th grade in the Fall of 2022, to help cover costs of out-of-school programming/child care for the summer months. Scholarships are limited, one-time grants, with a choice of either $1,500 or $2,500 per eligible child based on a family's summer care costs. This opportunity is made possible by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA). ECFSD anticipates a total of 3,200 scholarships to be awarded across the state of Montana. Applications will be awarded following a regional allocation formula based on census information, in order ensure equitable access. Parents must be employed and be able to provide documentation of summer care arrangements to be considered eligible. Applicants will be contacted by their local Child Care Resource and Referral Agency by either the email address or phone number they provided to complete application process. Awarded applicants will receive a check via mail. There will be a follow-up survey sent out in August to the email provided in this application. The survey will be used to help inform the impact of the summer out-of-school time scholarship and future programs. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RC7FRB2 https://nurturingcenter.org/
