We are looking at new Social Studies and Science curriculum for K-8th grade. There are samples of two different curricula for both K-5 and 6-8 in the office. These samples will be available through next Tuesday for parents/families to preview and offer comments or opinions. If you would like to look through the samples, CALL AHEAD to make sure the office is open.

Thank you to those of you who have returned your library books! We are still accepting any overdue books, so please, if you haven't returned yours, make sure you do so. There is a box outside the office to drop your books off.
There is a lot of maintenance and work happening at the school this summer! Look for updates in August as we will be moving a few classrooms around as well.

REMINDER: Overdue library books are due back by next Friday, June 21st. If you cannot find the book(s), the price for the book is also dune by June 21st. Deer Park is offering summer tutoring starting next week! The tutoring is intended for students who are struggling with reading and/or math skills. There will be three tutors available: Sam Marcus for K-2nd grade reading and/or math, Mr. Hall for 3rd-5th grade reading and/or math, and Mr. Bruce for 4th-8th grade MATH ONLY. Field day is next week on Friday May 24th! Teachers will need chaperones and possibly drivers. Please email your student's homeroom teacher to see what is needed.
1st-3rd will go to Fair Mont Egan
4th-6th will go to Cayuse Prairie
There will be concessions but they will NOT have any LUNCHES. It will be snacks only.
Please be sure to send your student(s) with a picnic type lunch.
Wednesday is the big day! We get to practice safety and bike to school. The kindergarteners will get a chance to ride on campus at lunch recess. Thank you Deputy Pat McGauley for keeping an eye on our students arriving to Deer Park on Wednesday.
HAPPY MONDAY! Cross country spirit week is in full swing. Runners in grades 5-8 will be dismissed at 3:00 for their race at West Valley, and there will be a pep assembly at 2:30! Good Luck Panthers!
